The Mission of the KLCD is to Revitalize, Enhance and Protect the water quality of Koontz Lake. The formation of the KLCD will relieve the Koontz Lake Association from having to rely solely on donations and inconsistent grants by generating a consistent source of funding through a modest increase in the property tax of Koontz Lake residents. The KLCD needs your help to keep Koontz Lake clean, safe, and beautiful for residents.

Koontz Lake was formed in 1848 when Samuel Koontz built a dam on Robbins Ditch near where the dam is today. This caused two lakes to join together, creating Koontz Lake as we know it today.
